A total facelift for the Caves Cafe, Caves House foyer, Chisolm's Restaurant, Jeremiah's Bar and the Kanangra Boyd Gallery.

An exciting development is underway at Jenolan – renovation of the heritage listed Jenolan Caves House. The rambling hotel was built between 1897 and 1926, in the Federation Arts and Crafts style. Upon opening, it immediately became ‘the’ honeymoon destination for society couples, including royalty among its guests! It now welcomes people from all walks of life.
Throughout renovations, it will be business as usual.  Planners have ensured that work will NOT impact guest experience.
While the Caves Cafe is being refitted, there will be a convenient portable kitchen located opposite the Ticket Office. When completed, the Caves Cafe will offer a more streamlined and comfortable customer experience, with new toilets and parents’ room.
The gracious Guest Lounge and Foyer will be uplifted with a tasteful mix of old and new, to revive its rightful glamour, yet retain its Late Victorian and Early Edwardian ambiance.
Upstairs, Chisolm’s Restaurant, features crackling wood fire, stately columns and wide bay windows that stretch high up to the lofty Art Deco ceilings. One of only 2 remaining ‘grand dining rooms’ in the Blue Mountains, Chisolm’s will be completely refreshed.  Next to Chisolm’s, a complete refit of Jeremiah’s Bar will draw that space out of the shadows.   While restaurant and bar are temporarily out of bounds, the chef will repurpose the spacious Kanangra-Boyd Gallery, so guests will continue to enjoy full buffet breakfasts and delicious dinners, served with regional wines.
Finally, the Kanangra-Boyd Gallery will be transformed into the newest conference/reception venue in the Blue Mountains!  Exciting times!
