Marriage to the Mob, presented by Mountain Murder Mysteries

1 Jun 2013

The play is set in early 1930s America. Prohibition is in full swing and bootlegging gangsters have taken the law into their own hands.

Brought to you by Mountain Murder Mysteries, Marriage to the Mob lends itself to the dramatic otherworldly atmosphere of the majestic Lucas Cave. This series of 'Whodunits'is a variation on the traditional Murder Mystery. Follow the action, as it moves from the cavernous vastness of the Cathedral chamber to a resolution amongst the skeletal remains in – where else – but the Bone chamber!

 Characters

Tony Belloni, ‘businessman' and Mafia don, is played by Ken Bronilow. Tony heads the family firm, ‘Belloni Concretes', a front for the family's underworld gangster organisation with interests in bootlegging, money laundering and contract killing.

Opposite him, Melissa Docker plays Isabella Belloni, Tony's new bride. They have married just a month after the death of Tony's late wife. Bella was a dancer in Tony's nightclubs until Tony made her an offer she couldn't refuse...

Paul Newton is Franki ‘the Face' Sardini, Tony's closest friend, bodyguard and right-hand man. Franky is a hitman and has designs not only on taking over the family firm, but more besides.

As Margo Marconi, Maudie Green portrays a cop who has a previous history with the Belloni organisation and Tony in particular. Although outwardly friendly with him, she also has her own agenda.
