The Paganini Duo
Be swept away by the passion of Gypsy music (sensual guitar & wicked violin) underground in the magical Cathedral Chamber of the Lucas Cave!
You'll remember a Gypsy concert in the Cathedral Chamber for many years to come! The Cathedral Chamber has arguably the best acoustics of any performance space in the world. Georg Mertens and Gustaw Szelski play fiery Gypsy favourites from Hungary, Russia and Romania plus duos from Spain and South America.
|Important||Please bring something warm to wear inside the cave.|
The concert will take between 2 to 2.5 hours. This includes getting to the Cathedral Chamber (several sets of steep stairs = 252 stair steps). The concert itself, and is followed by a brief tour of the rest of the Lucas cave. You can choose to do the brief tour (a further 658 steps) where you will see all the sections of the cave, in less time than the usual tour. Or if you wish to avoid most of the steps, you can leave the Lucas Cave the same way you entered, without taking the tour.
Why not book a sumptuous dinner in award-winning Chisolm's Restaurant, Caves House, and maybe even stay the night!
Regular concerts are performed at Jenolan Caves on the 4th Saturday of each month. For international visitors, private groups or conferences, special performances can be provided.
