'Fun!' 'Awesome!' 'Unbelievable!' 'Magical!' These are words you will use to describe Jenolan Caves. On any visit to Australia (the Blue Mountains of New South Wales), Jenolan Caves is an experience you should not miss.

Regarded as Australia’s most outstanding cave system – with 11 spectacular show caves, pure underground rivers and amazing formations – Jenolan Caves is among the finest and oldest cave systems in the world.

Visit this 'hidden gem', for fascinating cave tours and other activities, to suit every age and fitness level, plus a range of excellent accommodation for all styles and budgets. Jenolan Caves House is a popular venue for couples, families, weddings, honeymoons, concerts, corporate retreats and school field trips.

You can easily spend several days at Jenolan, enjoying the awe-inspiring experience!

Please note that Jenolan Caves is in a National Park, so please do not bring animals (including dogs). Also note that the road into the Jenolan Valley is not suitable for caravans (but there are caravan parks nearby).

Scenic Bushwalks - glimpse native Australian wildlife

Jenolan Caves is in a huge nature reserve which forms part of the Blue Mountains World Heritage area. For no charge, you can stroll along a choice of scenic bush tracks (from easy to strenuous), picnic at the Blue Lake, and in the quiet of the early morning or at dusk, see native animals and birds. There are not many other places where on almost any day you can spot a shy platypus. (By the way, if you stay overnight in one of our Jenolan Caves cottages, you are sure to see kangaroos.) Unique Concerts & Events

On Saturdays, we often host underground concerts. There is our popular 'Concerts in the Caves' series, and we have many other artists, performing deep underground in the Cathedral cave, in the Grand Arch or in Caves House. In 2010 we are having 3 major festivals - The Phantoms of the Underworld Festival (when the past returns to haunt), Yulefest (Christmas in July) and the Jenolan Caves Food & Wine Festival. For more information, see our Events Calendar on the main menu.
