All information, rates and inclusions are for weddings held between 1 April, 2016 and 31 March, 2017. All prices include GST.
There are stackable, lightweight plastic chairs in the Cathedral Chamber of the Lucas Cave. (No additional fee for up to 20 seats.) However, for other caves, you must bring and carry your own seating (chairs or cushions). Chairs must be folded and held in a carry bag, to prevent damage to cave formations.
We offer a variety of accommodation. Caves House offers both ensuited & non ensuited rooms. Mountain Lodge rooms are all ensuited.
Confirm your booking
After your tentative booking, please confirm your event date, in writing, within FOURTEEN DAYS, and pay a $2500 deposit. Otherwise we reserve the right to cancel your tentative booking.
Confirm food and beverage selection
Six weeks before your event, please advise us of your final food and beverage selections.
Fourteen days before your event, please advise us of any special dietary requirements.
Confirm final guest numbers
If your guest numbers are under the specified minimum, there will be an additional $500 fee.
Fourteen days before your reception, please advise us of your final guest numbers. Thereafter, we will not accept any further guest reductions. For additional guests, you must provide 48 hours notice, or we will be unable to cater for them.
If you exceed the expected time
Your ceremony venue is available for two hours, including entering and leaving the area and taking photographs. Management must approve any changes beforehand. Every additional hour (or part thereof) will incur $150.00.
Day wedding reception rooms are available from 9.00am until 4.00pm. Evening wedding reception rooms are available from 5.30pm until 11.30pm. Management must approve any changes beforehand. Every additional hour (or part thereof) and will incur $350.00.
Damage and Loss
You must pay for any damage to Hotel / Cave property during your function.
We will take all necessary care, but cannot take responsibility for any damage or loss of merchandise or personal belongings left in the Hotel / Cave before, during or after your function.
If you cancel:
- more than 6 months before your booking date, we will reimburse your deposit, minus a $250 cancellation fee.
- 6 to 3 months before your booking date, we will retain your deposit as cancellation fee.
- less than 3 months before your booking date, we will retain your deposit and change a further $1000 cancellation fee.
If you transfer:
- more than 4 months in advance, you will not incur an additional fee.
- 4 to 2 months in advance, a $500.00 transfer fee will apply
- 2 months to 2 weeks in advance, a $1000.00 transfer fee will apply
- less than 2 weeks in advance, we consider it a cancellation and rebooking. We will retain your deposit and charge an additional $1000.
How to pay
Please pay a $2,500 deposit, within 14 days of your tentative booking. This will secure your booking.
We require full prepayment for accommodation, food, beverage and sundries, 14 days before your event.
On the night of your event, please pay for any extra beverages, with cash or credit card.
For any sundries associated with your guestroom, please pay when you check out.
We accept cash, EFTPOS, direct credit, bank transfer and bank cheques. We accept Visa and Master Card. However, American Express or Diners Club Credit Cards incur a 2.5% fee. We accept personal cheques, but only if we receive them at least 4 weeks before your event.
