New Tour Schedule Released

We have released our tour schedule for 16 February to 15 March. For our new schedule, you can choose the Temple of Baal, Orient, Chifley, Imperial and Lucas Caves. We are excited to share our beautiful caves with you at the start of 2021.

Weekends and Public Holidays - Cave Tours Combined with Accommodation or Dining

Due to the limited number of guests that we are able to guide through the caves at one time (12 for the Orient, 12 for the Temple of Baal, 20 for the Chifley, 20 for the Imperial and 25 for the Lucas - a very exclusive experience indeed), you can purchase most of our cave tours with either an accommodation or Chisolm’s dining booking. High tea, lunch and dinner are available. Click here to pre-book your package. Some cave-only tickets are available. Be sure to book well in advance here, as they fill up fast!

Weekdays - Cave-Only Tours

We are opening up a lot more cave-only tickets on weekdays. But you can still purchase a cave tour in combination with accommodation or dining

Pre-Booking Essential

We are only able to offer tours that are pre-booked, to ensure we can accommodate our guests. Please make sure you book in advance, as we are unable to offer tours to non-booked guests.

We are Releasing Tours Two Weeks in Advance

To ensure our business remains flexible, and to avoid disappointment for our guests, we are releasing tour dates only two weeks in advance. This will enable us to adapt our operations if need be. If the date you want to tour is not available yet, you can book your accommodation or dining now, and then contact us two weeks out, to lock in your cave tour booking. You can book accommodationbook dinner, book High Tea, book Chisolm's Lunch (Saturdays) or Chisolm's Lunch (Sundays).

COVID-19 Safe Procedures

We pride ourselves on the safety, comfort and enjoyment of our guests. So we strongly recommend that you wear a face mask while on tour, and we have implemented a range of other measures. See our COVID-19 safe practices.

Other Show Cave, Adventure Cave and Cave-Only Tours

COVID-19 restrictions, and current works in our precinct, mean that we can open the Temple of Baal, Orient, Chifley, Lucas and Imperial caves only, at this stage. However, we hope to add more tours, more capacity and cave-only tickets to our schedule soon. Please watch this website to see what is available. We will also announce added caves and ticket options on our social media, so be sure to join our Facebook community.

In the meantime, we encourage you to visit Jenolan, even if you have already seen one of these five amazing caves, because limited numbers on the tours mean you will experience a very exclusive tour.

Other Jenolan Caves Activities

Caves House is a great base to explore our region, including towns such as Oberon, Lithgow and Bathurst, as well as other attractions such as Mayfield Gardens. There are also many walks and intriguing heritage still accessible in the Jenolan Caves precinct. We have an information pack about all the things to do and see around Jenolan Caves and our region, which we can email to you or give you on arrival.

Staying at iconic Caves House, or dining at Chisolm’s Restaurant (one of the last remaining grand dining rooms in Australia), is quite an experience, so we encourage you to join us for a night or a meal, to experience Caves House before a 2022 facelift.

Grand Arch Closed to Pedestrians. Blue Lake Still Closed.

The Grand Arch and Blue Lake are currently closed to pedestrians, because earlier this year, bushfires removed vegetation on the slopes near Jenolan Caves Road (The Five Mile), and these exposed slopes pose an increased risk of rockfall. We, and Transport for New South Wales, have engaged specialised contractors to assess the risk and develop long-term solutions. In the meantime, signs and bollards have been installed to let our guests know.

Your safety is our first priority, and we hope you understand these restrictions are in place to ensure your safety.
