Treat yourself to a proper mid-week getaway. Stay 2 nights at Jenolan, explore the caves, try our bushwalks and discover our nearest neighbours - Hartley Historic Village, Kanangra Walls and Mayfield Gardens.

Explore Hartley Historic Village. Visit the old courthouse where a hologram tells you all about the history of Hartley, from convict days. Purchase unique works of art from the Kew Y An Gallery (Aboriginal art) and The Talisman Gallery (metal art). Enjoy lunch in the quaint Post Office Cafe. |

Drive to Jenolan Caves (30 minutes) Check in to your accommodation (which is more economical mid week) Pick up your booked tickets for a guided tour of the Imperial Cave (1 hour tour). The Imperial tour is our easiest cave, with the fewest stair steps. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks in Jeremiah’s Bar (upstairs in Caves House) Dine in magnificent Chisolm’s Restaurant The grounds around the caves, particularly the Grand Arch, are lit in the evenings, for quiet, romantic strolls. You might meet a wallaby or a wombat. |

Delicious Full Buffet Breakfast in Chisolm’s Restaurant spend all morning exploring the McEwans Valley bushwalking track and Nettle Cave. There are lots of stairs, but you can take your time. In the McEwans Valley, you might spot wallabies, lyre birds and kangaroos. In the Nettle Cave, you will see massive cave formations and rare stromatolytes. lunch at Caves Cafe |

Pick up your booked tickets for a guided tour of the Chifley Cave (1 hour tour). The Chifley tour is full of variety and surprises. The many stair steps are easily handled by the average adult. Follow the Jenolan River, all the way to the Jenolan hydro electricity station and back. This lovely walk takes between 1 and 1.5 hours. You will see waterfalls, and maybe platypus and lyrebirds. pre dinner drinks in Jeremiah’s Bar 6pm Dinner in Chisolm’s Restaurant 8pm Extended tour fall into bed, exhausted. Sleep well. |
