Jenolan Temporarily Closed Up To and Including 18 April

March 29, 2021 - Given the damage caused to Jenolan Caves Rd (in both directions) due to extreme weather, Transport for NSW has further advised that access into Jenolan Caves will be closed for the foreseeable future. As there is no alternate access to Jenolan we have extended the closure of our precinct up to and including April 18.  More information.

Jenolan Caves is situated in a huge nature reserve and wildlife refuge, forming part of the 'Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area'. There is no fee to use any of our scenic bush tracks.  Our bush walks are great activities.  In the quiet of the early morning or at dusk, you might glimpse wild native animals and birds.

The protection of the pristine wilderness around Jenolan Caves is our priority.  To ensure its protection for the future, we ask visitors to please take all rubbish away.

If you have a smart phone, you can do a self-guided tour of 3 of our most popular bushwalks, using our FREE Jenolan app.  The app gives you interesting facts about our bushwalks.  On your smart device, in the App Store or Google Play Store, search for Jenolan Caves.  Download the app, open it and then ALSO download each of the 3 walks individually.  For each walk, there is a map with images, text and audio files.

Note: The app must be downloaded using Wi-Fi. We recommend you download the app BEFORE your visit.
