Entree

Cullen Skink - Scottish smoked fish and potato cream soup, served with crusty roll
Char grilled Oberon lamb cutlets, labne, baby beetroot, pea and walnuts salad (gf, df opt)                      
A mezze of deep fried goats cheese zucchini flower, Spanish style chic peas with spinach, grilled capsicum, olives and toasted house bread (v, veg opt)
Fresh baked celery souffle with toasted olive bread (v)

 

Mains

Fresh brook trout 'en papiotte' with chips and pea puree (gf)
Macaroni cheese of mature cloth-wrapped cheddar, char grilled olive toast, pickled beetroot and cornichons (v, gf opt)
Pumpkin and goats cheese jaloise with a rustic caponata (v)
Lamb rump tagine with olives, tomato and capers and preserved lemon, with a sauce soubise (gf)
Grilled corn fed chicken breast, stuffed with gorgonzola and thyme, with a mushroom and pea risotto
Slow braised Black Angus scotch fillet (240g) bordelaise of red wine, thyme and onions, with mashed potatoes and broccolini (gf)
Char grilled Black Angus tenderloin (160g) with French fries, arugulas, bearnaise and demi glace (gf)

Panzanillo salad with heirloom tomatoes, basil, olives and bocconcini
Garden salad with fennel, cucumber and tomatoes
Mash potatoes 
French fries 

Desserts

Warm banana bread and butter pudding, with rhubarb and pomegranate syrup
Poached pear Melba with a raspberry coulis, coconut sorbet and roast macadamia (vegan, df, gf)
Vanilla bean crème brûlée with crisp touile (gf opt)
Self saucing chocolate pudding with white chocolate ice cream
Plat fromage: a selection of local and imported cheeses with lavosh

To get to Chisolm’s Restaurant, walk through the main foyer of Caves House hotel, up the grand staircase (or take the lift) and turn left.

Note that while Chisolm's is open, the bar will also be open.

About Chisolm’s Restaurant

Heritage-listed Caves House hotel was designed in 1897 as a retreat for the wealthy landowners of NSW. The enormous grand dining room was completed in 1924, and is now our magnificent Chisholm's Restaurant. It is one of Australia's two remaining 'grand dining rooms' from that opulent era. Dining in Chisolm’s is one of Jenolan’s many 'must do' experiences.
