Jenolan bush walks
Jenolan Caves is situated in a huge nature reserve and wildlife refuge, forming part of the 'Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area'. There is no fee to use our 6 scenic bush tracks. Our bush walks are great activities to enjoy before, after or between cave tours. In the quiet of the early morning or at dusk, you might glimpse wild native animals and birds.
The protection of the pristine wilderness around Jenolan Caves is our priority. To ensure its protection for the future, we ask visitors to please take all rubbish away.
To enjoy any of our bush walks, please wear practical shoes and a hat. Take drinking water with you.
NOTE: Due to falling rocks, we have TEMPORARILY closed the Devil's Coach House Cave. You can still walk up to Carlotta Arch, and then down into the McKeown's Valley. However, you must return the same way, via Carlotta Arch.
Also, one side of the Blue Lake Loop is TEMPORARILY closed.
We have revitalised 3 of our 6 scenic walks, that you can do using our FREE App - download it BEFORE your visit.
|
Download the app to your iPhone (App Store) or android (Google Play Store) device, and use the maps, audio and images as 3 self-guided bush walking tours. Note: As the app is 125Mb, it must be downloaded using Wi-Fi. As we do not have strong Wi-Fi at Jenolan, please download the app BEFORE your visit. This same app also guides you through our Devil's Coach House Cave and Nettle Cave - you can choose commentary for either adults or children. The adult commentary comes in several languages. You can also choose a fascinating Aboriginal culture tour. See more. |
Our other 3 popular bushwalks are :
- Blue Lake Loop - our easiest and shortest walk
- Devil's Coach House Lookdown - strenuous, but rewarding
- The Six Foot Track - for experienced, fit bush walkers
