At last, we have throw open our doors again, for fun and adventure.

Bookings are open, for day visits up to February 1st. We’ve been closed for 100 days – the result of a landslide in October. But the forces of nature can’t keep us down.  School holidays are not over yet, and they’re definitely not over until you’ve been to Jenolan Caves!

Valley of Adventure

Open every day, we are your ‘one-stop-shop’ for families, with unique activities for all ages. Five spectacular caves will open for mind-boggling tours. While your kids can marvel at the lights of the surprising Chifley cave, your teens can tackle tight twists and turns on a challenging Plughole Adventure experience. Be stunned by the legendary beauty of the Orient cave and the scale of the mighty Lucas cave. If you’re not as nimble as you once were, the Imperial cave is your perfect choice.

Big Surprise

Speaking of the Imperial Cave - we have finally reopened access to the Underground River, which has been completely off limits for 3 years. The Imperial tour now includes the option to descend a winding stair, cut from the ancient limestone, to stand beside and marvel at the pure, blue waters of the Underground River – an uplifting experience for all ages!

Little Adventurers

For the remainder of these holidays, even little kids get the chance to go underground in a real cave.  As ‘Fossil Hunters’, little adventurers get kitted with caving helmets and real head lamps, before braving the underground reaches of the Bone Cave. This interactive treasure-hunt experience is exclusive to school holidays and kiddies get to keep what they discover! All our guides hold a Working with Children Check so Mum and Dad can join in, or simply relax at the handy Caves Café, for some kid-free time, knowing their little ones will be in safe hands.

Step Back in Time with Your Valentine!

Heritage-listed hotel, Caves House, will open on February 9th for relaxing stays, with dinner and breakfast. This makes it just in time for Valentines Day!
Caves House was built between 1897 and 1926. In her glory days, Caves House was the most fashionable country retreat for society’s elite. If only the walls could speak! Nowadays, it’s the perfect place to experience authentic vintage ambiance. Cave House lets you step back in time, especially upstairs in Chisholm’s Restaurant, the grand dining room, where delicious signature dishes feature regional ingredients and mouth-watering desserts.  Think - romantic getaway (and maybe decadent high tea) for you and your special someone!
